A few days before opening: between excitement and final adjustments
These past few days, things have been a little quieter here… but only on the surface.
In reality, we are in the very final stretch before the opening of Ô19, and behind the scenes — or perhaps we should say behind the bar — activity has been particularly intense.
Between beverage deliveries, the installation of the coffee machine, the menus, cleaning and the final adjustments to the layout of the place, we also had to move forward with everything that is less visible… but just as essential.
The network continues to take shape, meetings follow one another, small forgotten details suddenly come back to us, and they need to be corrected quickly. Added to this are all the administrative steps linked to the opening: paperwork, formalities, organisation, interviews, setting up the team…
There are so many things to think about that you quickly realise opening a place is not just about imagining a beautiful address, it also means wearing many hats at the same time.
Over the past few days, we have also made progress on matters related to additional support through flexi-jobs, the steps around the ONSS number, as well as all the practical organisation that comes with welcoming new people into the adventure.
And in the midst of all this, some truly wonderful news: we have found a fantastic first part-time team member, and we are absolutely delighted about it.
Bref, ça court, ça coche, ça ajuste, ça confirme, ça recommence parfois… mais ça avance. Et surtout, ça devient de plus en plus réel. Encore quelques jours, et enfin, ce sera le moment. Ô19 will be opening its doors very soon, and we can’t wait to welcome you.
